Ricky gained a lot of experience by playing at private parties and appeared as a guest dj in many top clubs in and around Johannesburg such as Sutra, Collodeum, Blue Chip, K2 and many more. Ricky entered a Technics battle of the DJ's competition and came first place. This competition was judjed by one of South Africa's most experienced Dj's Dave Skinz. After this Ricky had earned 3 residencies in Jo'burgs top nightclubs.
