(cliff notes for "The Story of Stereomaid")
The story of Stereomaid started in 2004 high in the Rocky Mountains of Winter Park, CO. Three guy's start a band with a vision of Rockin, songs are written, rehearsed, gigs are played and demo's are made, plans are to record a record. Then a member leaves the band and a new one joins. Gigs are played, then another member leaves followed by new member 2. Stereomaid is now 1, "what to do now?" (move forward). Then the 1st member comes back and a new 3 is hired, more songs are written and rehearsed, some demo's are made and album talk starts again. Gigs are played and now studio time is booked for a new record. Two weeks before the studio, 2 of the 3 members leave the band, Stereomaid is now 1 again, "what to do?" (keep moving forward). Oly begins tracking for new record anyway and new players are found, record is almost finished and the new line up talks about playing shows to support the new album, it never happens, "what to do now?" (yeah, keep moving forward). The New Stereomaid album is released Dec. 9 2008 and again all new players are found to play the record live, 5 piece band. Gigs are played but things are not going very smoothly, so Oly calls on 3 friends from high school that play and live in the Twin Cities, "do you guy's have any interest in playing some Stereomaid shows?, I have a new album out", they all say "yes" (wow!). Gigs are played and good times are had and that is how we get to now. Four guy's that went to high school together from Stillwater, MN are "Stereomaid" ROCK BAND.
