About me: Sterling "Mr Satan" Magee was once known as "5 Fingers Magee", in the 1960's/70's. He played and wrote music with the likes of, Noble "Thin Man" Watts, James Brown, Etta James, and George Benson. Toured with Bo Diddley. He has written and recorded a number of singles with Jessie Stone. Is on albums with Don Pullen, and one with, Willis "Gatortail" Jackson.(along with George Benson on guitar). He plays with George on another album, "Harlem Underground".(The most notable cut from that album, "Smokin Cheeba Cheeba", is one of the songs you can listen to while driving the cars in the video game, Grand Theft Auto)
After all this, he went to the streets of Harlem, to freely play the music that he loved and wanted to do. There he became "Mr Satan" and... became a legend. Then one day, a young harp player by the name of Adam Gussow happened by Mr. Satan.
"Satan and Adam" it was destiny... Thus began the journey of Satan And Adam... from touring places like France, Finland, Scotland, Australia and Winnipeg... to appearing on U2's Rattle and Hum album and Video, and soon to be the focus of an up-coming Documentary

Mr Satan, now mostly known as Sterling, is alive and well and living in semi-retirement here in Gulfport Florida. This site is for you, his fans, new and old to get in touch with him, and see just what he is up to. Sterling comes to this site often, to see and respond to all his messages.
