   About Stern
Stern is Chuck Stern, formerly of New York art/prog abstractionistsTime of Orchids (Tzadik, Cuneiform Records). The music is dense and cinematic, occupying its own late-night vacuum – a haze of brooding, Shostakovian synth and angular guitar work, laced with trumpet (played by Tim Byrnes), industrial noise and Chuck’s unique, haunting vocals. Tracks are mastered by scutopus.

Recent shows have been alongside Extra Life, Mirror Mirror, Larkin Grimm and Dysrhythmia.

hey,
just thought i'd let you know that you are one of my favorite musicians ever. your keyboards just add a whole new layer of creepiness to all the songs on namesake caution and it's gorgeous. i wish i could come up with the vocal lines you guys do, god damn! out of this world...i'm listening to coax and cozen and so far i love this as well. make an album right now.
