Movies, Music(mainly listening as I'm no good at playing), Wargames, Roleplaying, Middle Earth(yes I know, very nerdy), Ladies, Football, F1, Crafts(not all crafts, mainly Leatherwork), Politics(terribly grown up of me), My Kids, Science, Natural History, and probably a shit load more that I can't think of right now.
Music
METAL!!!!!
Although none of this whiney ass guff you get thes days. The good stuff from the 90s, Metallica(nothing past black album) White/Rob Zombie, NIN, Pantera, Fear Factory, Tool, Machine Head, Alice In Chains,Nirvana, Soundgarden, Machine Head, Green Day, Faith No More, Deftones, Tenacious D, probably missed a few, and of course, the greatest band in the world EVER... Pearl Jam.
A bit of Hip hop, the Beasties, Cypress Hill, Gravediggaz.
and a bit of soft stuff, REM, Regina Spector(she is mesmerising live), Sheryl Crow, and the usual oddball tunes, that don't fit the rest of your tastes.
Movies
Kevin Smiths flicks as you'd probably already guessed. The Holy Trilogy(I say trilogy, as apart from Sith, the prequals suck). The Lord Of The Rings, and Jacksons early work too, although I haven't seen King Kong yet. The Cohen brothers, Terry Gilliam, Tim Burton, Tarantino and Rodriguez. Pixar(everything they produce is amazing). Comic book movies. Sci Fi films, although not all the crap stuff, only quality like the Matrix, first couple of Terminator and Alien Flicks.
Some cool indie stuff, like Donny Darko(or any other total head mash flick), Withnail and I.
War movies, I bloody love a good war flick.
And despite all of this, I still love big buck action flicks, My guiltiest pleasure being Armageddon.
Television
LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god it's great!!
Smallville, Scrubs, Father Ted, Futurama, Family Guy, The IT Crowd,ER, Desperate Milfs, My Name Is Earl(it's about bloody time Jason Lee got some recognition).
Mighty Boosh!!!! Funniest thing ever.
Oh Yeah, and I'm Forced to watch large quantities of C-Bloody-Beebies by my kids.
Books
Lord Of The Rings(fanaticaly, even called my son Beren, and yes I know that's really nerdy). Terry Pratchet. The Eisenhorn Trilogy(a 40K book). Some DC comics(although I've been out of the loop for a while. Would love some more Lobo).
http://bookwormuk.myfastforum.org/
Heroes
Bill Hicks, Indiana Jones, Ernest Shackleton(an odd one I know, but he was a great leader in the most adverse conditions you could imagine).
About me: Hello to the world of the internet.
This is kinda of a new thing for me, I dont' really do the whole .. comunity thing. I really just think of it as a bloody big library/shop/postal service type thingy, with cool noises and flashy lights.
But I thought it was about time I got with the program and embrace the world of tomorrow.
You Are 74% Evil
You are very evil. And you're too evil to care.
Those who love you probably also fear you. A lot.
Even though you've been described as reckless, selfish and cocky, you're the type of person others love to be around. People like you because you're a scoundrel.
You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. Roguish,quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three.
Who I'd like to meet: Eddie Vedder, Kevin Smith, Bill Hicks(yes I know he's dead, but hey it's not like I'm gonna meet any of the others on the list), Heather Graham(although not for polite conversation), and Eric Cantona.
Oh yeh, and any old mates I've lost touch with.
everyone check this band out...
