Stevan Brasel is an acoustic guitar playing singer/songwriter who writes and performs in the "Folk/Americana" style. His songs touch the place in all of us that responds to beautiful melodies, meaningful lyrics and catchy rhythms.
Steve comes from a small town in Southern Illinois. His music and personal roots run deep in the solid midwestern values of family, humor, determination and open honesty that permeate the rural landscape.
Steve has been singing and playing guitar since grade school. Different times in his life have found him singing and playing rock and country music with various bands, until re-discovering the joys of the acoustic guitar and “Folk/Americana" music that has shaped his life from the very beginning.
Songs from Steve’s three CD’s (“Canyon Grand”, “One Note” and “Sun and Plow”) are being downloaded and streamed on radio and Internet services including “Upbeat Radio”, “Uncommon Ground”, “Nashville Radio- Not Just Country”; and are being played on radio station WMVY 92.7 "The Local Music Cafe", WKJC 104.7 “CW Junction” and TLC Radio FM106.7 “Brave New Frontiers”.
NBT records has included Steve’s song “Hello America” on a CD called "Ride the Train", released March 2008.
Casa Bonita Productions has released Steve's song "Book of Love" to 12,000 radio stations worldwide.
Steve’s background vocals were used in the movie "Bitterblue”.
Mimi Productions had included Steve's song "Let it Go" in their "Pure Stock" show.
