Bio
Who am I? Where did I come from? And where an I going? If I could truly answer those questions at the deepest level......but for the purpose of this bio. the story could go something like this: Born in Carmarthen and raised in Cardiff (Wales). Currently I am living in Hoorn in the Netherlands. I've been active as a musician since around 1976 but have only recently started to develop my singing. (I know, I'm a late starter:-) The amazing Cardiff blues/rock scene of the '70s and especially the infamous new moon club were a huge inspiration for me, as were many of the great bands of that time. My world view is, to say the least, a little ”out of the box”. Hopefully this will also be reflected in my work. As a guitar player I've been playing professionally and semi-professionally since 1976. Some of the people I have played with include the reggae artist Max Romeo, Freddy Cavalli, the late, great bass player of Herman Brood's wild romance and the Hoorn based band;Vitals. After putting a few songs up on youtube, I was surprised and greatly encouraged by the amount of interest and positive comments. Apparently quite a lot of people appreciate songs that approach subjects rarely found in the mainstream media. Things like; new world order, 2012, spirituality, military-industrial complex and the nature of reality amongst others. Of course I write about other stuff too but I'm pretty passionate about looking deeper. Right now I'm working on new songs for a forthcoming album, as well as developing my singing voice and doing some singer/songwriter gigs. I sincerely hope that my music might encourage people to question and examine their own beliefs and the beliefs held by their culture. In this time of rapid and dramatic change that seems very important to me. -
