About me:
Right, Some of you may know me. My name is Steve Claridge and i am 40 years old. I am a much travelled semi retired professional footballer based in the UK. I have enjoyed a fairly successful career which has spanned over the last 23 years.
The highlight of my career, or possibly my proudest moment was securing Leicester City's place in the Premiership. By scoring the winning goal in the 1996 Division 1 Playoff Final against Crystal Palace. I also scored the winning goal for Leicester City in the 1997 Coca Cola Cup Final.
The low point in my career came at Millwall. I had played there twice before in my career and Theo Paphitis appointed me manager in June 2005. My short stay only lasted 32 days, and I was sacked. I had done nothing wrong, and was deeply shocked and disappointed with Theo Paphitis' decison. However I managed to resurrect my footballing playing career, and am now stranded on 999 professional games. My last one coming for Walsall at the end of last season.
Since my last appearance I have worked on various sports programs as a football pundit.
The reason behind me setting up an official myspace is to spread the word of my 1000th appearance, gain recognition and continue playing into my 41st year.
Thanks for taking the time to read my short life story.
