I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
Hello reader, my name is Steve Adams. I teach and play guitar for a living; I consider myself very fortunate to do this especially in our media saturated society. I have had experience performing in many genres: solo Classical, Jazz, Latin Jazz, Metal, Hard Rock, Country, Blues, etc.
I write music as well. My mainstay project is called ARZ. ARZ is progressive, embracing elements of all styles as well as “World Music.”
Four ARZ albums are available through Cdbaby, iTunes, Napster, and other digital outlets.
ALBUMS:
Serai
The Magi
The Last Kingdom
Solomon’s Key (“Burning Bush” and “Solomon’s Key” were written by Merrill Hale (drummer) and myself).
“At The Mountains of Madness” my fifth release is finished (still waiting for the artwork).
OTHER PROJECTS:
DARK PLACES: Metal/Prog similar to Queensryche, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Tool. Martin Edward, vocalist extraordinaire, as well as a long-haired rocker dude, heads the helm providing vocal melodies and lyrics. He is remixing this batch and as well as some new goodies.
RAMBLE ON: A Led Zeppelin tribute that guaranteed to wield the Hammer of the Gods!
ALL GOOD PEOPLE: We seek to recreate the YES experience when we perform. The wondrous music of YES is always an unparalleled pleasure to share with audiences. Kevin (keys), Merrill (drums), Dilly (bass) and Rich (vocals) provide the talent for this “tribute” band.
STEVE ADAMS TRIO: Jazz classics performed by Merrill Hale (drums), Jon Zaerr (bass), and myself. This material is a pleasant challenge, and let’s face it folks, jazz gigs pay better!
SOTTO VOCE’: Woodwind (sax-flute) and guitar duo featuring Latin Jazz. Joe Sorce who has a resume a mile long provides his soaring solo work. Again, the jazz gigs pay better!
"I've had the honour (and fun!) of working with many talented people: Joe Sorce (film composer, Ray Charles Band), Chien Tan (Oregon Symphony, Aerosmith, Celine Dion), Martin Edward (vocalist supreme!), Danny Jubb, Charlie Swift, Jeff Newman, Tina S. Marie and Chael Emmett, and many more...
REVIEWS:
Serai is a modern masterpiece of soaring guitar instrumental music that combines rock, jazz and classical.
--Twentieth Century Guitar Magazine
It rocks, it swings, and sometimes it just lays back and lets the music whisper. For all this though, it is Steves acoustic guitar playing that impresses most, and the man has style and technique to spare.
--Tom Karr, ProgressiveWorld.net
Instrumental neo-prog in the style of YES, GENESIS, RUSH, FOCUS, IQ. Without a doubt the 2 CDs are a pleasure to listen to, with Steves musicianship reaching a very high level. Any progfan will love this band!
--Gabor Kleinbloesem, Strutter Magazine, The Netherlands
It twists and turns blending Hackettonian and Fripperian styles to form a soundtrack to a story told only by the music. Powerful stuff indeed! Adams manages to keep the listener enthralled and engaged, spinning off on weird tangentsthe sheer profundity of musical ideas makes each listen anew.
--Mark Hughes, Dutch Progressive Rock Page
Sure technique and inner fire combine in Spindleshank and on the country-tinged Stomp, organic showcases for Adams astonishing finger and fret skills. Combined, the two discs make for a bold but inhabitable journey into a fantastic world where the view is often breathtaking.

The girls are beautiful and awesome! Hey Check out Bob's blog or your sister's older comments. I found a message that Bob left her. I copied it and put it as a blog on his site. She didn't remember it. See you next week end.
JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST TIME IN VANCOUVER, WA! WE'LL BE AT THE ICEHOUSE THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, JUNE 19TH AND 20TH. IT WILL BE ONE OF ONLY TWO PORTLAND AREA DATES THIS SUMMER!
Hey, the pleasure was all on this side, mi amigo. The weather cooperated, there was good food and drink, cast party/thespian-like musical entertainment... great times were had by all!
Ahhh, I remembered the "c" word that I was fumbling for on Sunday (when musicians work together online to record/compose...) Collaboration. T'would have driven me insane had that term not been roused from my deep conciousness...
Hey Lord Stefien, thanks for inviting us to Bob's Memorial on Sunday. We all had a great time. Thank Brenda too. I think that I left an empty soda can over there. I'll stop by to pick it up some time. 5 cents you know... haha (kidding of course).
Had a great time bending your ear on Sunday. I hope that it didn't create a disruption in your tranquil family life. You were able to grab a nutritious meal?
This is a shocker. It's not often that I hear from a fan of Byfrost. I thank you for the request, sir.
You may be interested in knowing that there are plans in the works to release re-remixed versions of Liturgy of Man (The Movement) and Catharsis - Juicy Skies. I'm excited... haha
O Steve, thank you so much! How I have loved being a mother to all three of you. So blessed that you and your brother and sister have been the best of friends. A Mother could not have ever asked for any more!!
It is because you guys were brushing your hair all of the time, I had to clean it up from the floor! Also still think you are soooo cool! I wonder what ever did I do with that chair. Would love to have it now. I know someone else who comb his hair over the bald top....
I wondered the same thing about the coat, maybe could also have been some of his friends that he would pick up of the streets and bring home and I would find them on the floor when I got up!!!
