These are actual quotes found online. OUCH!) I found a new one that I couldn't resist - "Tom Waits' voice sounds like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months and then taken outside and run over with a car". Poor Tom.
Steve Allain has an eclectic and varied history as a musician. He has played in numreous groups with music ranging from classical, jazz, and blues to traditional French, experimental and straight up rock and roll. Playing on stage in cities from Los Angeles, St Louis, and Cleveland, to the East Coast, he's always eager to share his music with those who are willing to tune in. Now relocated in the Providence, Rhode Island area, Steve is currently writing and performing songs which reflects his culmination of years as a growing and ever evolving artist. His approach to writing has no restrictions or boundaries as to how or where genres cross. Though the musical content of his pieces vary greatly, his sense of melody creates a common thread which leads the listener along an always engaging journey. Add to that intelligent and reflective lyrics and smart songwriting, you have a recipe for music that reflects today's need for an original and creative voice.

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
