"Live, Steve and Estelle cast a wide sonic net, captivating crowds with spine-tingling melodies and bone-rattling rhythms. Is it too soon to call them the Future of Music? It might not be."
-Sam Sessa, local entertainment critic, Baltimore Sun
What once began as a Charles Village coffee shop poetry reading has quickly evolved into Baltimore's most dynamic folk-pop duo. Since the 2000 release of their first album, "Filters," Steve and Estelle have grown to encompass and pay homage to a wide array of styles and audiences - from a Zydeco-twinged show in a New Orleans amphitheater to a Flamenco-infused set with local musicians in Seville, Spain, it seems this partnership can successfully take on almost any musical or cultural project imaginable.
Described in reviews of the second album "Aquifer" as "the perfection of butter and sugar without all the musical cholesterol," Steve and Estelle work to spread the quintessential Baltimore School message throughout the world - "You can't go wrong."
