Archdeacon is a band from Long Island, NY. Their influences include Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, among many others.
After traveling the world and playing such venues as The Cavern in England, where the Beatles became famous, to recording an album in Tennessee, and having the opportunity to open for such acts as Ninedays and Our Lady Peace Steve (guitar/lead vocals) has assembled a solid group of musicians to form a full band ARCHDEACON. They all have many years of experience in playing gigs and are always looking to expand their musical horizons. The saxophone player, Sterling Bailey, has played with such musicians as Miles Davis and Bob Marley and liked to play every style from jazz to Reggae to rock. Just last year Steve & Sterling attended one of largest Music Conferences in the country held by TAXI (www.taxi.com) and they both said it was one of the BEST experiences of their lives! The band is currently recording their debut album entitled "Constant Evolution" so keep an eye and an ear out for this up and coming band. As Steve says, "As an artist you always strive to become better day by day, year by year. It is a lifelong journey to constanty improve yourself as a musician and as a person."
