"Steve Banks is a guitarist and guitar teacher from the UK. He has worked as a solo artist and session musician with artists including Sara Colman, Kiina, The Colman Brothers, Tony Smith, Jerry Brown, Sylvan Richardson and Tony Roberts in venues including The Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, The Poole Lighthouse Theatre and The Edinburgh Festival. As a solo artist he has played interval slots for legends Maceo Parker, Courtney Pine and Martin Taylor. An inspiring and committed teacher, he has extensive experience teaching individuals and classes at all levels. Steve currently designs and teaches the guitar course for the BA (Hons) Popular Music Performance at Southampton Solent University. Amongst other projects, Steve is also currently working on a collection of original material, examples of which are available on this site".
