About me:
I play drums in The Wild Swans - based in Liverpool - New 10" Vinyl Single (and digital download), English Electric Lightning, out now on Occultation. Mojo’s Top 10 this month (April Issue) sees The Wild Swans in at Number Four: "English Electric Lightning by The Wild Swans Paul Simpson reconvenes Mersey post-punks The Wild Swans to epically hymn the magic and rubbish of our island home. On the flip is a moving Proustian memoir of the Liverpool scene of the early 80’s" I also either have or do play drums for the following: * The Heart Throbs, * Freelovebabies with Will Carruthers from Spacemen3 & Spiritualised and Ricky Maymi from The Brianjonestown Massacre. * Slipstream with Mark Refoy and Jon Mattock from Spacemen 3 & Spiritualised. * Wilson (with Pat Fish - Jazz Butcher). * Just Fontaine. * P-Hex. * Steven Wilson (Plasticsoul - USA). * The Love Ambassadeux. ..

Hi Hi Hi I love the wild swans and had a wondeful 12" single that I recently flooged for a small fortune called Revoluntary Spirit. Bloody hell my friend you have played in some bands so ... all the best with the Liverpool gig and please come along in Jan for the beat poets night, we have PAT AND JOE PLAYING PLUS READINGS AND JAZZ DJAY.
I know Mark Refoy and I read his small  bit in Doghem Logic re: Johnny Thunders, yes I remeber the incident but the best bit of the gig was Johnnny Thunders announcing his next song as " don,t put your dick in my mouth" and covered a frantic version of Do you Love Me .. The Contours R&B  classic

See you soon and catch us live at the labour club, Ian and Pete

Steve, The Wild Swans shows were absolutely amazing! It's still a bit surreal at the moment, but those were 2 of the best shows I've seen in ages and everyone was first class all the way.
