Steve has been a guitarist in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years. Steve has studied guitar with guitarist Ted Greene for many years and with Joe Pass for a short time.
As a guitar teacher at McCabes in Santa Monica, CA for over 10 years, Steve taught individual and group lessons in the 80's and 90's.
Steve has played in various environments as a guitarist, from rock and blues bands, duos, and as an accompanist backing singers. Steve has also played in jazz trios and quartets and was a fill in player in a college jazz band.
He has toured the Western United States & Canada as the guitarist in a musical production.
Steve was proud to play guitar at his parents wedding anniversary, in the 90s,in Amsterdam, where they live.
Presently, Steve plays and records solo jazz guitar, and primarily plays at private engagements and occasionally in club settings. Steve works on his arrangements of tunes and plays them first, for his ultimate critics, his two cats, Peanut and Nestle. Steve is a frequent player at events at the Tarzana Community Center, is becoming a regular at the Whisper Cafe, in Encino, CA, and has recently played at the Oyster House in Studio City, CA and the Biltmore Hotel in L.A.
