Sounds Like
... what you would get if America and James Taylor were forced to collaborate with Gin Blossoms and REM, and, death was not an option.
Hello, and thanks for taking a moment to view my page!!! I'm a singer / songwriter / guitarist / bassist / percussionist from the Detroit, MI area (city of Warren to be exact). I spent many years of playing in power-pop cover bands from my high school (Hartland) through my college days (Oakland Univ), and then some. Then I had a musical epiphany in the 90's when I saw Aerosmith, Cure, Nirvana, and Stone Temple Pilots on MTV's unplugged series. It became clear to me that it's all about the song, and what the music makes you feel and the lyrics make you see. My mantra is that any REAL song, can be played on just an acoustic guitar and still move the people listening to it. So, I shelved my electric axes for acoustic guitars and hand percussion instruments, and set out to perform my own original songs written for all acoustic instruments. I wish I could describe my musical style other than saying that I think that I have some. But I'll let you decide how to label it, and I'll just worry about getting what I hear from my head to yours.
Currently I'm performing around the eastside suburbs either on my own, or as part of the unplugged music showcase ACOUSTIC BAZAAR with several terrific musician friends. I'm an open-mic addict and try to get out and play weekly at one of the many places that offer them. I'd love to come out and play for you and your friends, and I have several ideas on how you can have live original music at your event with little cost to you. Please contact me through the myspace email here, or bronsons@yahoo.com for more information on booking me for your venue or event.
Please check out my songs while you are here. I change them from time to time, and try to keep a good representation of my work here. I grew up listening to acoustic music of America, Cat Stevens, CSNY, Donovan, and James Taylor. I also studied jazz bass in high school and college. You'll hear a blend of acoustic rock and jazz styles in the chord progressions and bass lines in my songs.
Some of my previous bands were:
BULLETJONES BAND, Bass, Acoustic Rock and Blues, Sterling Hts, MI
DEEP SIX, Bass and Rhythm Guitar, Alternative Rock, Warren, MI
BC SHARP, Bass, New Wave Rock, Waterford, MI
SPECTRUM, Bass, Rock, TOP 40 Power Pop, Waterford, MI
SEVEN DAYS HIGH, Bass, AOR Rock, Hartland, MI
