Bio
.. .. .. CLICK THIS DISTURBING PHOTO ........ Praise for Songs for Dustmites "...Steve Burns has returned to his first love: music. Anyone fearing an album of Pee-Wee-ish singalong songs can rest assured-Songs for Dustmites was created with adults in mind; it is lush and symphonic pop music." -Performing Songwriter Magazine "...Burns' lyrical insight and gift for writing and arranging endlessly listenable pop songs consistently manages to steal the show." -Pitchforkmedia.com "...one of the most pleasant musical surprises of 2003 so far." -New York Observer "...Music is sorely lacking in intelligent, big-hearted artists like Burns. The fact that Dustmites is as good as it is comes as one of the biggest surprises of the year, and will assuredly win him some much-deserved artistic credibility." -Under The Radar if you know us not, please see our band website. our story is currently complicated and previoulsly striped. the Unbeliever was co-written with Steven Drozd of The Flaming Lips. it was produced by David Fridmann. we, Steve Burns, wrote A Slightly Bigger Space and Mike Rubin produced it. we made A Very Troubled Day with Steven Drozd in our bedroom and his basement. mary Fridmann sings space dolphinesquely on this track. also: we are not dead. we do not plan to die until august 24, 2098. our death will take place in the middle of a 96-minute guitar solo that we will perform wearing a robotic exoskeleton. it will be broadcast live from alpha colony via brainwave-cable, as part of vh1's telecast of the monsters of metaphoric science rock reunion tour. this is our real actual ourspace band page. all others are not us. -

I do wish you had an active Facebook/Twitter page where would post updates and such. I really hope you continue to make music and keep your amazing work alive. Hoping to hear something from you soon, and thank you for taking the path you did.
Dear Mr. Burns,
I would just like you to know that I am a huge fan of your work. I have been searching the internet for a list of your tour dates, however I have failed to find any. Is this because you are no longer touring? :( I truly hope this is not the case. Please update the internet with your current musical activities, because I am very interested in seeing you perform live. I hope you consider coming to New York very soon!
Sincerely,
A Devoted Fan
i second this.
Super cool.. Steve's Alive! hah. I knew it.. My kids love Blues clues.. it wasn't the same after u left. The media always has to push out garbage rumors... anyways, this is great to hear you sing in your style of music.. keep it up ;)

Steve! You should totally apply to TED.com to do a TED talk! You'll be seen by millions of fellow great minds. (And it would make me happy.)
I'm confident they'd have you.

maybe you won't read this but if you do, i just asking for your music i like it, but here in mexico, where i live, i can't find it can you help me please?
Not like you will answer this... But question is, how did you and Joe get switched? You are better on the show and he is better with the singing... Switch back!
Mr. Burns, I've been listening to your first album ever since it came out (and watching your show obviously long before that). You're insanely talented, and I'd love to throw some money at you for Deep Sea Recovery Efforts. Other than that, rock on, I know we all hope to hear from you soon. Truly love you, Mr. Burns.
Steve, you were a big part of my life growing up, and now that you have amazing music out, you continue to be a part of it. Rock on, man! PS: Any idea where to get a handy dandy notebook? I've wanted one since I was 4....
