"Same Boy"is the latest Steve Coffey & the Lokels CD. Produced & recorded by legendary Edmonton musician & master-mind Steve Loree, Same Boy features 14 brand new original tracks and a 30 minute bonus DVD. Russ Baker, Dave Bauer, Lance Loree, and Pat Phillips back Steve up on his third album with the Lokels. The DVD has both music videos and studio footage of the band hard at work, and was captured by the enigmatic A. Thomas. Same Boy is destined to be a doctrine for the New World and the voice of the revolution. The new album is garnering a great response from listeners, media and most recently Bravo! The film portion of Same Boy will be broadcast (for nine spots each year) on the Arts & Entertainment channel starting in Sept. 2007 to Sept 2010 (visit www.steve-coffey.com for more details on getting Same Boy, and info on lokel music).
The Lokels are presently compiling their un-recorded material and contemplating, seriously considering, possibly challenging...a new CD.
Details are forthcoming.

Hello Steve / The Lokels, greetings from South Wales. Thanks for getting in touch and no problem adding you to our friends. It's always a pleasure to link up with another great Canadian band. Cheers for now, Tim and Blind River Scare
I am looking for help (venues, booking agents, bands/acts to do shows with) to set up a tour, this coming October and November 2008. I plan to start with the west coast of the U.S. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, then into Canada; Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, then back to the U.S. to Duluth (have to see where Bob came from, I played Greenwich Village December 2007, so the journey continues…), then through North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, over to Nashville, then into Texas and back to Dallas where I lived and played 21 years ago, and of course Austin, then through New Mexico and Arizona back to L.A. to fly back home to Melbourne. Waiting to hear from you
Studies are inconclusive as to whether washboard/kazoo music improves, harms or otherwise impacts your health. Thanks for taking a chance and making space for some vaudevillian ragtime/jugband blues and hillbilly swing!
