STEVE HUNTER started playing guitar when he was 8 years old and has dedicated his life to music...
His professional career began in 1971 when he joined a band called ‘Detroit featuring MITCH RYDER’. With that band he recorded his first ever album and the producer of that album was BOB EZRIN...
A mutual respect developed between Bob and Steve and over the course of the next few years they worked on many projects together including four ALICE COOPER albums, PETER GABRIEL'S first solo album which included ‘SOLSBURY HILL’, and LOU REED'S ‘Berlin’ album...He later toured with all of the above-mentioned artists as well as touring and/or recording with JULIAN LENNON, BETTE MIDLER in the movie ‘THE ROSE’, co-wrote and recorded songs with DAVID LEE ROTH, toured and recorded with TRACY CHAPMAN and was involved in scoring films and music production... Along the way he also recorded two solo albums, the first being ‘SWEPT AWAY’ with Ezrin producing and the second self-produced album called ‘THE DEACON’....
In late '06 Steve joined up with LOU REED again to do a live version of Lou's landmark album ‘BERLIN’ from which there is a live DVD and cd....
Steve released his first solo CD for many years in 08; “HYMNS FOR GUITAR' is a collection of old American hymns wrapped in a blanket of calming and inspiring guitar, executive producer BOB EZRIN. A book of Steve's hymn arrangements in TAB plus CD, now available on AMAZON....‘SHORT STORIES’, Steve’s latest CD is a collection of instrumentals full of mood and color, two tracks from this cd are now in an EMMY nominated video about Christ Child House boys home in Mitchigan....
Steve is legally blind so travelling is restricted, he records sessions from his studio in Prescott, AZ.

Great music and thanks for ading my site Steve/Folks. Quite an impressive Bio. Read it! I hear great dynamic music with excellent instrumental and guitar licks, and solo's. Innovative color fuil tracks. Tank Top is really cool. I listened to a number of them :Flying is another great track". Nice melody in that track.
