My name is Steve Gerrard and I'm a photographer based in Birmingham, England.
My work includes portraits, weddings, lifestyle and travel photography.
I also work freelance for NME (New Musical Express), Rock Sound and Fused Magazine in the UK and have been an accredited photographer for bands such as My Chemical Romance, Motorhead, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys,The Prodigy and many others.

After working in the music industry for almost 20 years and photographing some of the world’s biggest artists and bands, Midlands photographer Steve Gerrard is now building a reputation for his gorgeous family portraits and wedding photography.
Running the business with his Canadian wife, Evelyne, Steve’s approach to photographing his subjects may be different to what people are used to.
“My aim is to give people an experience which is fun, relaxed and away from the artificial confines of a photographic studio,” Steve says. “Children especially don’t always feel comfortable stuck in a white room with bright lights flashing in their faces. I always work on location, photographing people at home or in their favourite place, using natural light and aiming to capture people’s true personalities. It’s more fun for them and it’s certainly more fun for us too.”
His wedding photography mirrors this approach and produces beautiful images which capture the spirit of the big day.
“The days of cheesy, posed wedding pictures are thankfully behind us and these days couples are looking for something much more contemporary, natural and creative. We still make sure we have some amazing posed shots of the bride and groom and their guests, but my aim is to produce an album which acts as a photographic narrative of the wedding, with beautiful candid images capturing the emotion, excitement and fun of the big day.”
It is this unique approach which allows Steve to find the true essence and personality of the people he photographs.
