Band Members“Let the Beauty of What You Love Be What You Do.” – Rumi. My intent is to express distinctly with clarity and beauty through music. To that end I play only with musicians whose music and purpose embody those same ideals. You will find many of their names listed in my biographical information, more importantly you will find them creating with me on my CDs as I create with them on their work. I will not dilute or compromise my music for material gain. I seek to remain pure in my creations. Expressionistic Music is My Way in Life.

   About Steve Giordano
Hi! I'm Steve Giordano, a jazz guitarist from Philadelphia,PA. I also compose and teach private and/or master class/workshops to serious minded musicians who must possess a sense of humor. Hmm? Is that an oxymoron? I am a recording artist and have recorded on several labels - Muse (1980) "Daybreak" and recently Criss Cross with trumpet great, John Swana "The Feeling's Mutual". I have toured several countries, most recently Italy, Sicily and Spain in various jazz ensembles. My music encompasses progressive jazz, impressionistic jazz, traditional jazz, electronic music, and free improvisation - not to be confused with avant guarde, which I thoroughly despise! My musical philosophy is based on musical discretion which of course expands with evolution but never to the point of losing touch with musical values. Current Projects: 1) Spacetet - my main band - playing original compositions and harmonically expanded jazz standards. I would call this interactive band's music "impressionistic jazz". Personal: Bob Meashey - trumpet/flugle horn Peter Cobb - alto sax Brian Howell - basses John Mosemann - drums/percussion Steve Giordano guitars 2) Symbiosis a free improvisation group (see sound clip from Scenic Journey) 3) various quartets, trios, and duos composed from this list of musicians: Eric Dutko - guitar Scott Sherwood - guitar John Swana - trumpet/EVI Joe Mullen - drums Brian Howell - bass John Mosemann - drums Dave Posmontier - organ George Mesterhazy - organ Tony Micelli - vibes Kelly Meashey - vocal Peter Cobb - alto sax John Blake - violin Kevin MacConnell - bass Mike Cosden - guitar My hope in using Myspace is to network with musicians and fans of music and also to open up discussions about music and art in general. I will never sell out or dilute my art for monetary purposes. I also like to write articles about music from several perspectives including the audience's. Feel free to contact me about anything... In Joy Create and Enjoy Creating

Red Wolf

The Hawk Soars up
far into the Sky
Flying too close to the Sun
His Tail Feathers burst

Into magnificent flames
Fire All Around
Consumes
Yet He emerges

Still in Form
Illuminated He descends
Shifting shapes effortlessly
Unbound by form

Brilliant
Fearless
He slips into
The Wolf on the Cliff

Just as the Sun casts it final rays
Across the Valley
A burst of incandescent Red
He leaps to touch the Sun

Falling He discovers Wings
Flies through the Air
No limits has He
Defying Gravity

He Soars with Eagles
He is
Red Wolf
Exquisite and Rare

Walk In Beauty Always in All Ways
On The Wind

Steve,
Good to hear back from you and, yeah, I didn't think the "journey" quote was you, although that is one of my favorite words! I guess we're the living example of the olde adage, "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours!!" Ha!!
Thanks for the "Dolphin Dance" clip. You're still finding stuff in those changes and what a masterpiece of a composition!
Thae journey goes on...Peter P.
