About Ethericom

This profile is exclusively for Steve Hilman's electronic/synthesiser based music and features tracks remastered from my earliest commercially available recordings from 1983 onwards. Also to be featured will be rare and unreleased tracks going back to the 1970’s onwards. All music copyright Steve Hillman. About the tracks from “From Distant Shores” (remastered & expanded) “Tower of Maxt” & “Vortex” appeared on the original album but “Sonic Portal” (1980) & “Starburst Strata” (1981) are previously unreleased. Both are raw first take improvisations recorded on the spur of the moment in the early 80’s with no prior thought and are a good insight into one of the ways I approach making music.
