Deja Vu
Kev Woods took my track Picking Bones and added lyrics, vocals and multi-instrumentation.
Kev's meisterwerk takes my original track somewhere else again - and the final third of the track is completely Kev's own creation - Floydian and wonderful.
So all kudos and hats off to Kev for this one.
HEY JANE
Hey Jane is written and sung by Jim Glennon. I loved the skippy, whistle while you're happy tune so I took the liberty of adding a little finger clicking percussion and a bit of bass - oh, and the stuff in the instrumental section.
RAINY DAY BLUES
Written and recorded during December 1980.
Deja Vu comprised:
Steve Cockley - lead guitar
Steve Cooper - bass guitar
Steve Kelly - rhythm guitar
and the rather inconveniently and awkwardly named
Mark Kelly - drums
The track was recorded live in our frontroom. The drums were dampened down with blankets and tea towells. A grand total of two microphones were used to capture the recording onto cassette. It meant getting the placement of the mikes spot-on to capture a balanced recording
EUROSTAR
The Garden was a collaboration between Mike Ritchie and myself. We recorded five albums together around the mid 1990s. Eurostar dates from 1995 and yes that's me intoning the vocals.
ON YOUR OWN
Go to my blog and see a video of Jason Grant performing his version of my song.
coming soon .....
SILVERBLACK
Andy Towell wrote the lyrics for this song and played acoustic and electric guitars on the coda section - much to his surprise !!!!.
Oh, and he also features on backing vocals ....
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I dig the new layout on the page. The "Picking Bones/Underground" re-working is very interesting. I've always been rather fond of that track in original form and wondered how I'd find the new version. And I'm glad to say that full justice has been done to it while a great new track emerges too.
