I thought of you yesterday when I walked about a bunch of posters made my little kids and one had your same first and last name and had drawn a pic of a drum kit/ spaceship--close enough to guitar right. It was really cute. Haven't seen in forever- hope all is great ! : )
Hey babe...long time no see! I no longer work at Eastowne so next time you're in town you're gonna have to have Vinnie & Liz call me! Hope all is well for you! MWAH!
Some number of years ago (I would estimate 3), me, my best friend and band mate, his girlfriend, and my lady-friend at the time all decided to go see a band.
All the way from Highland, Kansas, we drove. Our destination? Tulsa Oklahoma.
The lady-friend and I drove to Emporia, met up with my best friend, and left for Tulsa the next morning, with 4 shiny Our Lady Peace tickets.
As we were crossing the Oklahoma/Kansas border, we received a phone call. It was the ticket people. They informed us that the show had been canceled, due to illness in one of the members family. So, already in Oklahoma, pretty much, we decided to go on to Tulsa, seeing as how we couldn't cancel our hotel room anyway.
What's the moral of the story? Family is always first. BUT, don't skip the midwest whenever it is you guys decide to come tour again. I've seen you in Omaha, and Kansas City (and almost Tulsa). I'd like to see you again... soon.
So... I'm just sayin', when the time comes that the 4 of you sit down and are like, where should we go?
I expect Steve to raise his hand and say, "Kansas City".
Or you could just come to Pittsburg, KS... it's such a bustling metropolis.
/end sarcasm.
Whew.
That was long, mostly pointless, and probably only entertaining to myself.
I am finally getting out to a Met game this year. It is so hard to go when you work early mornings and weekends. I could not let Shea close without going one last time. They are playing Chicago Cubs so it should be good. Hope we do not choke like last year. The game last night was too close for comfort..
