About me:

In the past I’d thought that success came to the lucky few who were fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time. I’d been waiting for the day I too would cash in my proverbial lottery ticket. …Only now do I realize how much perseverance, determination and attitude influence a person’s future. I now know today that the “luck” I had searched for will come only after I've earned it.

My measurement of success has evolved into much more than simply career-oriented accomplishments. We typically measure our self-worth by our net-worth, creating a front for the outside world all while remaining empty inside. I constantly have to remind myself that although some people are worth impressing, it’s not what others think but how you feel that should dictate your happiness. This life is not a rehearsal and there are absolutely no guarantees. I’ll do anything to avoid waking up one day and realizing that I’ve missed the whole point of the ride and that it’s just too late. I've changed from a person that asked “why me?” to one that has the confidence to overcome any adversities that life throws my way...

Every morning I wake-up grateful not only because it’s always 70 degrees and sunny but because of how amazing my life has become. I've been fortunate enough to reach many of the goals I’ve set-forth for myself. Still, it’s exciting to know that there is so much more that I want to accomplish. Right now, the exciting part of my life is the uncertainty of the future. Where will I be in five years? I'm not sure; all I do know is that I'll be successful and happy on my own terms…
