Steven is a singer and songwriter and lives for music and to perform. Steven grew up in Surrey living with three of his tribe of sisters. He fondly remembers listening to Madonna, the Spice Girls and of course the great divide of Blur and Oasis. 90’s Britpop, now how good was that? That was what inspired him to perform. Steven started writing songs when he was ten, with a great succession of unheard hits such as ‘Blue Blueday’ and ‘Extinction is Forever’ amongst others that hopefully will never surface again. When a relative of his mothers passed away his family were lucky enough to own our very own luxury static caravan in Costa Del Bognor Regis where the fun really began. Steven was poached by the holiday village’s entertainments team, where he worked crazy 9am -2am hours at the age of 15. He is sure it was illegal but he did it for the love and not the money as it was voluntary. As well as performing in nightly cabaret shows, Steven also worked with the kids, organising games and activities dressing up as the adorable Bradley Bear so that the parents could sit in the bar and great drunk! Steven then went on to tour Holland schools singing jazz and swing covers. Then he took the plunge. In 2004 Steven moved to London and went to drama school and that’s where my of his songs were written, the crazy people he met, people telling him ‘no’ and of course his first broken heart. Steven still acts and will maybe play himself in a movie about his life when he’s a multi-million selling recording artist... Why pigeon hole yourself? After leaving drama school Steven started to focus more on his music and met up with singer/songwriter Ben Adams in November 2007 to start recording his debut album and that’s where ‘Whoop’s was born, the very first of many more to come. Could this be the start of something beautiful? Let’s hope so!
