My (former) friends suck, your music makes me remember better times... I know I messaged you to that effect earlier, but I had to say it where everyone could see, because between then and now I am no longer weepy, I am happy again.

Jakob Dylan's new album MAY just hold me over until I get something new from you, Sir. Its like a warm mixture of Bruce Springsteen's softest, Bob Dylan's most scathing, both of their storytelling, and a glass of red wine poured over the top. I could go on for a very long time about it, but I'll just say Valley of the Low Sun is my favourite track, and I am still very much looking forward to something new from you. Be well.

Have I ever heard you sing Tom Waits' Heart of Saturday Night... or did I create some weird immediate false memory? I heard it and swore I had. Either way, whatever, just had to check the old crazy-meter against something recent.

Oh I totally agree with Jon. Not enough SJ in my life either. I did listen to Satrs on the Side the other day and cried my eyes out as it STILL brings the sting of unexpectedly losing someone I thought would live forever to the surface to bubble over just like it did five years ago. Therein lies the beauty.

If you want to see how I live my life... go read a synopsis of Edward Albee's, The Goat. Then picture me running a light board for that. Great show, and I have the most boring-ass job of them all. *sigh* I miss you by the way, as an actual person... you've sorta become an idea. A man, a myth. Ya know. Hope you are well. : )

Apparently Will Hoge without his rockband as an unsteady solo performer (he was taking requests and people were asking for things he hadn't even considered without the band but trying them anyway) sounds like a lonley Adam Duritz with a poor man's Bruce Springsteen voice and the smacking of gum between phrases. Overall not a bad effect but truth be told I liked the opener, Eliot Morris, better. : ) On another note Merry Christmas, I hope your family enjoys each other and has a wonderful time.

I saw Shawn Mullins tonight at the 12 Bands of Christmas concert cause he sang with pat Blanchard on the CD. I didn't expect him to be there but he was and thankfully for me Pat let him sing the other two songs of their set besides their collaborated one. He sang Shimmer, and i felt 16 again. it was totally awesome.
