First of all, my main profile is here. I do not check email on this one very often.
Mine is a story told many times around here: I've been making music since I was 7 years old.
As long as I've been making music I've recently been guilty of letting my writing take a back-seat to my other ventures (musical or otherwise). I am putting this profile up to get my stuff out there and hopefully to find more where this came from.
When I was 12, 13, 14 , 15... I used to spend all day in my bedroom on my 4 track and Cakewalk 4 for DOS (on my 286) arranging songs. At the same time I was in a band called Transfiguration and had we kept at it I think we may have had a record deal before I could turn 17.
At 18 I mostly stopped playing and writing writing to focused on recording engineering, attending the Musician's Institute in Hollywood.
I briefly attended Pepperdine University and declaired a music major but decided that I didn't want to end up a music teacher, so I left to pursue the entertainment industry.
It wasn't until I was 22 that I began networking again in the music industry. I began recording/producing tracks for independent singer/songwriters.
That led me to start Don't Call Us Tori, a live showcase of female singer-songwriters that has just celebrated its 2 year anniversary.
I was also formerly the keyboard player in a rock band called the Ludivico.
