Introducing By His Grace... the latest CD release from Steven Whitson.
Steven is a twenty-seven year old accomplished vocalist from the rural west Tennessee town of Trimble. He currently resides in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where he is the host and lead vocalist at the Tennessee Shindig. Steven has been singing in churches and touring in both the United States and overseas since the age of three; in addition to writing and recording his music since he was 16.
To date, Steven has recorded a total of 6 CD projects that feature a variety of musical genres including Christian, Patriotic, Christmas and Country music. Steven has opened for such notable artists as John Michael Montgomery, John Conlee, Rascal Flatts, Gary Allen, Chris Cagle, Craig Morgan, Marty Stuart, Joe Nichols, Billy Covington, Brad Cotter, Trick Pony, Aaron and Thea Tippin, Hometown News, Buddy Jewell, Ty Herndon, Chely Wright, Travis Tritt and Linda Davis.
Upon receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Church Music from Lambuth University, he served as the Music Director for the Grace United Methodist Church in Jackson, TN for over three years. Prior to that he served as the Music Director at the United Methodist Church in Trimble, TN for five years.
In 2003, Steven was named West Tennessee Idol and went on to continue receiving such accolades as being named the 2006 Opry Mills Talent Competition Winner, the 2007 Farm Idol and Froggy Land Idol.
With his broad variety of singing Broadway, Christian, Classical, Country, Pop, and Rock-n-Roll he has a great feel for many different styles of music and loves using the talent of singing with which God has blessed him.
