Pretty World Records has new life with the release of "Mama's Kitchen Table" by Steve Oliver, with major distribution. Pretty World Records began in 1985 with artists such as Wynn Stewart "It's Such A Pretty World Today", and Johnny Paycheck "The Only Hell My Mama Ever Raised". It continues in the solid country tradition with a brand new artist Steve Oliver; his first release "Mama's Kitchen Table". Steve Oliver is involved in every facet of the music business. He is a singer, songwriter, and multi-talented musician. Perhaps the best way to describe Steve is with the title to one of his own songs, "Stone To The Bone Country". Steve was born and raised in Moulton, AL. His deep rooted love of country music came from watching wide-eyed as his grandfather played a fiddle, with his father who played guitar while Steve often watched from inside his father's guitar case. Steve Oliver has been singing and writing country music since he was six years old, winning the grand prize of $16.00 in a talent contest the first year. As soon as he was big enough to hold and reach the neck, Steve learned the guitar often entertaining himself while taking a break from the chores of an Alabama cotton field. Steve's abilities continued to grow and expand and in 1994 came to the attention of BMG/RCA executives and Steve was ultimately signed as a staff writer. Steve is mighty proud of the legendary writers he's penned songs with; Red Lane, Max D Barnes, Vern Gosdin, Harlan Sanders, Mack Vickery, Hank Cochran, Dean Dillon and many more. Steve was awarded a gold record for his guitar picking on "The Fireman" for the Songwriter's Tribute To George Strait Album. Keep your eye on him ... Steve Oliver is going places!
