About me: I was born in 1964 and grew up in the seventies. I have two wonderful parents still alive, and two fantastic sisters. Coral(the eldest) and Susan (the youngest). I have lived around the Doncaster area for most of my life. I moved with parents to Skipton at the age of 5 but came back after a year or so.
I lived with grandparents (mums side) for a while also.We eventually settled in Thorne around 1976 and have lived here ever since. I was educated in Thorne, Northfield,Grammer school, and doncaster Art Collage. I worked for a while as a builder after leaving school and eventually worked for National Coal Board. Ending up in the Building dept at Hatfield Colliery. I loved rock music and played guitar at the age of 14 and have played ever since. My best friend Adam Hobson became the singer in a local band Transic after they tried me out and I was awful. He was wonderful. But it sparked a relationship with my other Best friend Paul Piercy who happened to be the greatest guitar player id ever seen. Hes been an inspiration to me ever since. In the 80s we travelled around in a club act together as mates and had a great time it taught me a great deal. I was really into heavy music and the first band i went to see live was Judas priest at the Sheffield city Hall with Iron Maiden . The second was Motorhead with Saxon as a support act. Then i believe it was the Scorpions but I saw hundreds of bands in the eighties UFO,Gillan, Whitesnake,ACDC,Rainbow, ted Nugent, Sammy Hagar, Rory Gallagher the list is endless but i think you get the idea. I went to see Robert Plant at the Retford Porterhouse billed as the honey drippers it was awesome we picked up a tab end he threw on the floor and pasted it in a scrap book we had for Led Zeppelin.
I also went to see my first punk show with some freinds (punks)to see UK Subs. Pete my other Best Freind was a big fan and came with us. I later Joined petes band Thelmas Thighs a quite few years later. During all this time from the age of 14 i started martial arts training which led to me becoming a Master Grade 5th Degree.I opened my own martial arts school and earned a living teaching and managing the school. I travelled to Florida and Texas during this period to upgrade my skills. I do not practice martial arts anymore. I married at the age of 22yrs and have 5 wonderful children from this marrige. We divorced after 19yrs.I am in a relationship with my Kerry who I met while working in a band called the Space Cadets. We have a great life together.I joined Thelmas Thighs in the late 90s which led to me joining the Space Cadets in 2001. We became a successful working comedy group and had a great time for a few years. After leaving the Cadets we reformed Thelmas Thighs and brought out a CD (check out www.thelmasthighs.com)which we recorded in sheffield. We built our own studio at a secret location so we can keep recording. we are not going to play live anymore(apart from Aidos birthday party this year 2006).So this led me to join another band which specialized in Blues Rock The Harry Coffey Band. That lasted till early 2008 when i joined Red Mosquito the band in which i play now. We have also formed another comedy band Helvis and the Dead Famous which begins work alongside Red Mosquito. I will add a date sheet soon.
