  • Bio

Steve credits the inventor of the accordion for his eventual inspiration and desperate need to take up guitar at age ten. ( No offense-beautiful instrument, it is! ) His six-string career started with his first public playing and singing performance in Sister Mary Jolene's sixth grade class, pounding out "If I Had a Hammer" for his excited fellow classmates. Wow, what a rush! Ever since that pivotal day, the music continues... Born and raised in Downey, California ( Musical birthplace of the Carpenters ), Steve has performed at numerous concerts, coffee houses, and recording sessions. He has opened for the Little River Band, Dave Mason, Randy Meisner (Eagles), America, Three Dog Night, Charlie Daniels, Kenny Rankin, Richie Furay, 38 Special, and John Kay & Steppenwolf. But prior to the above mentioned stage opportunities (and name dropping!), Steve took some time away from his full-time music career to be "Mr. Mom" to stay home to raise two talented kids. Steve is always at work on new material in varied styles for himself as well for other artists and film placements. He continues to showcase his original music and enjoys taking a cover tune and adding his signature sound to it. He currently performs as singer/guitarist for the headline act, "Hotel California - A Salute to the Eagles", helping to recreate the legendary sound of the Eagles and performing in major venues across the U.S. ( www.HotelCal.com )
