Brandon Jenkins and myself had the honor of inducting Steve "Porchlight" Pryor into the Tulsa World Spot Music Awards Hall of Fame this past Fridat night at Cain's Ballroom. This honor was awarded to Pryor after being nominated and winning the Blues Award for five times. He joins a select group of Tulsa musicians with this honor.

To win yet another Spot Award when he hasn't even been able to play, much less walk for much of the year, speaks volumes for the love so many fans have for Steve Pryor's talent! If he could drive a van half as well as he plays a guitar and sings the blues, he'd be a NASCAR driver! Welcome back Steve. Our thoughts, prayers and love remain with you.

About me:
This site is for my friend Steve Pryor, I met Steve in the early 90's after reading a small piece in a tulsa,Ok newspaper. Steve had just had a small part in a movie called the gun in betty lou's handbag, the peice in the paper stated the movie would have been better if the Tulsa Blues Legand had been the whole movie of him playing.
After the loss of Stevie Ray Vaughan i was a hugh fan of, i set out to hear this so called blues guitar legand from tulsa.
I went to see him that next week at a small club in tulsa called club one. When i first arrived at the club there he sat at the bar, i introduced myself and told him i had the means to do a live video of him and we decided to talk later about it, no long after that he took the stage with his band the mighty kingsnakes.
From the first riging note that flew from Steve's Startocaster it was a amazing night....WOW where had this guy been what a amazing guitar player.
Steve Pryor is as good of a guitarist you will ever hear anywhere anytime,I have seen alot of them from Duanne Allman to Eddie Van Halen...Steve Pryor can be on the stage with any of them. This is his site...and to all great guitarists
