Steve is one of the most talented and versatile artists in the house and electronic dance music scene. His DJ gigs have seen him tour the globe from London UK to Auckland performing at some of the worlds most prestigious venues alongside ‘A-list’ artists including Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Freemasons, Stonebridge, Soul Avengerz, Ferry Corsten, Mauro Picotto, Marco V and many many more.

Born in London and exposed to music from an early age, Steve’s sound has developed and evolved over the years to encompass all styles of House. His talent derives from learning to mix at a very young age and from playing professionally for 9 years gives him vast experience in the global scene. It is these skills that have taken him from London to his first international residency in Cyprus, before touring Europe, New Zealand & beyond.

His DJ career has been supported by his involvement in event promotion, in which he has also experienced similar high levels of success. Since 2000, Steve has built up many club brands including ‘Funkylicious’, ‘Funky4love’ and ‘Another Wild Night’ featuring at some of the world’s top clubs, including Turnmills, Pacha, Ministry of Sound & The Castle Club, also securing top-level international DJs at most of the events.

In 2007 his reputation has established Richard’s in the very enviable position of running all marketing and promotions for the largest club in Cyprus, the Castle Club, alongside his 4-year DJ residency at the same venue. Both ‘Funky4love’ and ‘Another Wild Night’ feature at the club throughout the summer season. Each event regularly draws 4,000+ people every week, making them the most popular events on the island. With the Steve Richard’s name starting to span the globe, leading DJ equipment manufacturer Pioneer, has been quick to sit up and take notice, and is now sponsoring Richard’s events as his career begins to take-off.

Steve is now stepping into the competitive world of music production, forming the musical partnership ‘Elektrik Disko’ with New Zealand-born Jolyon Petch. Remix work has already been completed for several big names including Agnelli & Nelson and the Soul Avengerz with releases on Deep Blue and Soda Records, while collaborations with other well-known artists such as Katherine Ellis, Peyton & Maxi C are also under way.

As expected 2009 is kicking off with one heck of a bang and looks set to be Richards most successful year to date, not only has he been offered residency for himself and his brand Another Wild Night, but also handed the reigns to manage all events and promotions for the latest and greatest superclub to hit the coast of Cyprus! Bablyon & Steve Richards will work closely with sister venue The Castle Club placing the Ayia Napa’s House music scene firmly back on the map, bringing with them some of the finest artists and events the world over.

Also from January 2009 Another Wild Night sets up shop at none other then the worlds leading clubbing brand “Ministry of Sound” London as well as 2 other UK residencies and the infamous Dublin Club in Bahrain.

On the production front things are equally as exciting for this prosperous new year, with a brand new release due out on Soda records and several originals soon to be released on Luxury records, we also have some exciting Ayia Napa House compilations due to hit the shops this summer, all courtesy of The Castle Club, Babylon and mixed by Steve Richards & Elektrik Disko.

From the DJ booth to the recording studio, event promotions and beyond, Richard’s energetic style, consummate professionalism and friendly nature have secured him an ever-growing presence on the world’s electronic music map.

His winter calendar is nearing capacity with bookings across Sweden, Dubai, Lebanon, Finland, Lithuania, Moscow and of course the UK, all hotting up for a blistering summer season in Ayia Napa.
