Steve Roybal is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Santa Rosa, California. Steve writes, records and performs pop infused rock music, influenced by many different genres of music and appealing to a wide range of audiences. Steve says of his own music, "they're just simple tunes about life lived, love lost, overcrowded empty rooms and growing up - anyone who's ever done any of those things will relate to the songs."
In September of 2006, Steve began recording his debut album titled "Everything After You (The 10th Street Sessions)". In May of 2007, Steve and the music team at Atlas Studios here in Santa Rosa, wrapped up recording on the 11 song project. "The album is quite the journey" says Steve. "It's an extremely personal look at the last two years of my life and it's the kind of album that you can sit down with the lyrics in front of you and explore... most of it's very literal, very to the point I was right then and there when I wrote it. But it's all honest and that's all I really wanted to do, was record an honest album".
In addition to the recently completed solo project, Steve is also one fifth of Northern California rock band "THE MOOD". Steve plays rythym guitar, sings and contributes songs to the set list as well.
"Music is more than an expression for me," says Steve. "It's a chance to wipe the slate clean and share a particular experience with a listener in an attempt to hopefully relate to a similar experience that he or she may have had. I don't claim to be some great warrior poet out to change the world - I just write simple songs about my life and hope that people hear those songs and think 'yeah, I've been there'. That's really all I hope for in sharing my music..."
