Steve has played bass for more than 20 years and has experience in nearly every style of music. He plays electric bass, double bass and Ampeg Baby Bass.
He has performed live and/or recorded with the following artists (partial list): Ruth Brown, Jerry Butler, Ben E. King, Lloyd Price, Gene Chandler, Mary Wilson (of the Supremes), Jane L. Powell, Julia Nixon, See-I, Sin Miedo, Rumba Club, The Washington Ballet, Dan Reynolds, David Bach, Al Williams, DJ Farid and Thomas Blondet (Rhythm and Culture Recordings), The Grandsons, Junkyard Saints, Patrick Desantos, Rosa Moraes, Aisha Kahlil & Yasmeen Williams (both of Sweet Honey In The Rock), Brad Clements (trumpet player with Chuck Brown), Tom Forsey, Al Johnson, Verny Varela.
He has studied with Peter Princiotto, George Vance, Paul Langosch (bassist with Tony Bennett) and Bill Vaughan (of the National Symphony).
