"Enigmatic...a rollicking and lush effort filled with layered and endearing pop gems. A must have."-ZUNIOR.COM

"The tasteful, and unique pop record that you thought would never be written. That is what this record is." -Justin Perof, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE

'Wicked Production!" Byron Wong, producer THE CRYSTAL METHOD

"File between Sufjan and Squeeze" Brendan Canning, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE

I live in Toronto and I constantly make music. Constantly. I've toured extensively in the States and the UK and played with the likes of Ron Sexsmith, Bert Jansch (Jimmy Page's favorite acoustic guitar player), Kiki Dee (!), Jesse Malin, members of the New York Dolls, members of REM, John Wesley Harding, and tons of other people. I am currently playing keyboards with the Josh Reichmann Oracle Band, playing lots of solo shows, and writing for television.

"I'll Make You Want To Stay" (from my record I Will Not Break Your Heart) was featured in the movie 'SUGAR' with Sarah Polley. I have a song coming up in the movie "Your Beautiful Cul de Sac Home" premiering at the Toronto Film Festival.

On 2003's "I Will Not Break Your Heart"...

"It is hard to resist the charms of this record. His voice has the ability to wrap itself around the words and imbue them with personality appropriate to the lyric being sung. Ill be holding onto this for a while. Americana UK - London, UK

"I found myself sort of sucked into it Lovely lyrics tooand by all accounts, hes wonderful live. Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2 - London, UK

"...pure pop melodies, richly detailed lyrics, and the kind of hooks that hits are made of." -Larry Flick, Billboard Magazine NYC

"Singh's subject matter is urban and heartfelt -- he humbly explores personal relationships, chance situations and slice-of-life subtleties with the ease of a gentle breeze." -Kevin Hainey, EYE Magazine-Toronto

"Canada's Steve Singh is an extraordinarily talented singer/songwriter. Singh sings and plays with the maturity and confidence of some of the best folks out there." -babysue.com

"This is a CD filled with humor, sweetness, intelligence and originality. He could have also called it I will not write anything boring or predictable" -The Muses Muse - USA

"It's not often that a wordy writer with clever narratives is able to shape them into great songs but Toronto singer/songwriter pulls it off with amazing aplomb." -Michael Barclay, Exclaim! Magazine Toronto

Lullaby melodies that waft in on balmy morning breezes and fade away into still city nights, leaving the scent of romance behind in the air. "- Mike Davies, Netrhythms.com, UK.

"Ignore the album title "I Will Not Break Your Heart", Steve Singh's album of the same name will do exactly that! Lyrical, romantic and simply moving" -Jacquelyn Francis, Umbrella Music Toronto

"This is an album that you're guaranteed to play again and again. This entire album is great." -Persnickety Picks Online

"Stripped down, intelligent, melodic and lovely..." Mary Dickie, Toronto Sun

That was a great set at The Drake. A one-man musical minstrel, valiant, cheeky, and passionate. Definitely carrying the spirit of the traditional singer-songwriter.

Part East Indian, part Swiss, yet on this St Paddy's Day, all Irish, all musical troubadour. That was a great set at The Drake, a man and his guitar, engaging and poignant, really demonstrating that songwriter passion and joy of performing. Simple yet accomplished.
