If you are familiar with Steve, you might know him as the guy who shoots potatoes, makes toilet paper fly and mixes up a perfect batch of slime. But he might be best known for teaching millions of people how to turn an ordinary bottle of soda into an erupting geyser of fun!

The now famous Mentos Geyser Experiment became an Internet sensation in September of 2005 and spawned more than a thousand related exploding soda experiments on videos sites like YouTube.com after Steve demonstrated it on his television news segment for our local NBC affiliate.

The Steve Spangler Science website offers over 900 educational products and a free experiment and video library filled with hundreds of Steve's favorite experiments. Steve has been described as a "teacher's teacher" as he spent years in the Cherry Creek School District as a teacher himself and now tours the country presenting exciting, hands-on workshops that empower teachers to go back to their classrooms and use science to ignite curiosity and wonder in their students.

Recently, Steve Spangler Science was featured in the Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine and TIME Magazine where on-line readers voted Steve one of “The Top 100 Most Influential People of the Year for 2006.” You can also find Steve on 9News in Denver Colorado and on the internet at 9News.com. And, Steve has been invited to share his antics with Ellen on The Ellen Degeneres Show six times in 2008, where he was found blasting smoke rings and potatoes into the audience.
