I find it difficult to suspend my sense of logic for even 90 minutes and most movies released today are bubblegum junk. Occasionally I will find a winner. Sadly it happens so few times that I can't remember the last good movie I saw. | | Television | UFC, Penn and Teller's Bullshit. Then there are those damned addicting reality TV shows like Amazing Race. Throw in a good sports game like hockey, baseball, or football, and I am set.
The only show I really could not stand has gone off the air - Queer As Folk. | | Books | I devour non-fiction when I can. Especially USMC history books or most things published by the Marine Corps Reserves. I suspect if I ever get reborn it will be into a USMC grunt. | | Heroes | All military folk who are willing to risk their ass for us fat pigs back here in the states. I know I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.
My dad, who I rarely got along with because it took his death to see what he was trying to instill in me. I miss him more in passing than I appreciated him back then. |

About me:
Let's see. Currently back in school after a ten year hiatus because I was tired of groveling on the ground for food at $10/hr here in San Diego. I finally decided what I want to be when I grow up after several efforts even this late in life. I have experience as a computer geek, I've studied databases, biotechnology, geography, and have now settled on GIS - Geographical Information Systems - or electronic mapping in short. It's something I have always wanted to do since I drew maps on grocery bags back in the golden days of the 70s when I was a wee lad.

Who I'd like to meet:
Hmm.. probably so many I can't think of any at the moment but here goes:
A nice stable grounded man who likes to have fun and is at least semi-intelligent. This man can be for friendship or fun - it can be really difficult at times to meet people just to chill and hang with in California. It's a whole other attitude out here vs. the Midwest.
Open to all, but Latin and White can cut to the front of the line. Hey, we all have our preferences.
Of course a nice Marine, in dress blues or fatigues never hurts either!
