Steve Velocity is a DJ/Producer/Remixer from Edmonton, Canada. He grew up playing a diverse range of musical instruments including the guitar, drums, and even the accordian. Yet it wasn't until 2002 that he discovered his true passion: the production studio.
Steve started DJ'ing house in 2001, however in 2002 his love and passion for breakbeats was confirmed. Since then
he has played many successful raves and club nights at various spots throughout the city, including contributing to the success of Wild Cherry Wednesday which was widely considered Edmonton's best electronic club night from 2003-2006.
Steve Velocity's sound can be described as 'Nuskool Electro Ragga Funk.' Although he has diverse collection of electro, breakbeats, garage, and drum and bass, they all have a few things in common. Aggressive, driving beats and captivating melodies which keep dancefloors shaking night after night. Steve believes that the most important role of a DJ is being an entertainer. His high energy level and crowd involvement is a direct reflection of this.
Affiliates include the infamous Grumpy Old Men Productions (GOMP), Malpractice Recordings, Sovereign House Records, and Energy Shift Recordings.
