Scratch DJ Academy was founded in 2002 by Jam Master Jay, the legendary DJ from Run-DMC, with one goal: to provide education and access to the art form of the DJ & Producer. Headquartered in New York City, and with locations in Miami and Los Angeles, Scratch has taught hundreds of thousands of students from all 50 states and over 30 countries. Scratch DJ Academy’s mission is simple: education and access. Scratch educates beginner, amateur and established DJ’s and Producers via celebrity instructors, copyrighted curriculum and the proper equipment on which to learn.
