Hey there is actually a movie that I like that was released fairly recently: Walk Hard, The Dewey Cox Story. A movie like that shows that people(hollywood script/story writers) still have imagination.
Television
shows like: Gilligans' Island, Happy Days, Three's Company,WKRP,Flintstones, nice shows with happy endings
Books
No One Here Gets Out Alive(the best rock'n'roll book ever!)
Other authors I have read and enjoyed: Aurthur C. Clarke, Ayn Rand, George Orwell, J.D. Salinger
Heroes
usually a person who tries to make a difference in the world through art.
I am mainly a keyboard player, but I enjoy playing and listening to other instruments as well...........Myself and Floyd Factor are very saddened by the passing of Rick Wright, keyboardist/founding member of Pink Floyd. His legendary songs like Us and Them will keep his memory alive forever. Mr. Wright will be sadly missed. He is on his way to the Great Gig in the Sky.....................................................everyone knows that I LOVE the Beatles and I am fortunate enough to play with a Beatle cover band once or twice per year..........I am also in Floyd Factor which is really my main band at this point(We just played a concert in Central New York in front of 5000 people)...................but alas! I have done it again! I have now started a 3rd band......READY?.....It is a Neil Young Tribute. We just made our debut at Paully's on August 9th,2008 and it was a LOT of fun. The audience was REALLY into it. I guess it would be safe to say that we were a resounding success. I have to say that these (PowderFinger guys) are a pleasure to work with AND rock the stage with.I ACTUALLY enjoy being in the company of these fellows. I am so lucky to have these particular guys together in one explosive band like this. I can't wait until the next PowderFinger live performance. (heck, I'm already looking forward to the next practice) ....................................................................................also check out a couple of other websites:
my space-Floyd Factor page (Toronto based Pink Floyd cover band).....and www.floydfactor.com..........HERE IS A NEW ONE!!!!!www.powderfinger.ca.........THANKS!.......
PS-I thought I would mention that I played in The Mamakin(Toronto based Aerosmith tribute band) from 1993 to 2001, so bits of that will come up on this web page,in the pictures etc, and P.S. when it comes to Aerosmith cover bands in the G.T.A. and Canada, ONLY support the real thing which is THE MAMAKIN with Frank Grosso, BIG MAC McTaggard etc.......THANKS!...........Keep On Rockin' in the expensive world, and Shine On.
Floyd Factor - Breathe Comfortably Numb etc - LIVE Pink Floyd
Remember That Night, sorry, remember last night, Steve? When we were sitting at the table, about two hours before the show, discussing? So I would like to recommend the German specialist in Klaus Voormann, Achim Schult - link to his MySpace profile.
Again, thanks for a great show, good company and for finding me a ride back! :)
I was watching TV and a commercial for Target came on and I almost cried when I heard the song they were using in it - 'Everybody's A Star (Starmaker)' from 'The Kinks' Present A Soap Opera'...an album that is a hidden jewel, a favourite of mine...
I HATE hearing good music, especially music I love so much, being used in advertisement. I'm still upset about Zeppelin being used in those Cadillac commercials a while ago.
