STEW! was once known as Holy Diver. Holy Diver was never a Dio tribute. Best described as a classic sounding power trio, this band comes from many influences. Brothers Joe and Johnny Hardy (drums and bass respectively) formerly of Solar Sound System, Hardis and Muther, currently 1/2 of Hawk Vs. Dove have been on the DFW scene for quite some time. Lee May (guitar) completes the triad of STEW! Enraged by the current selection of music deemed "popular" by the corporate machine (especially this Disney crap being shoved down our throats), these three friends got together to put some real rock and roll tunes inside the ears of the starving listener. Riffs reminiscent of Cream, Zeppelin and Floyd, with competent drumming hailing back to the days of Cream, Zeppelin and Floyd, and lyrics and melody that make you think of Cream, Zeppelin and Floyd, STEW! insists on the music being of the utmost importance, followed closely by a fascination with the construction of the perfect album, whether concept or not.
