Stickshift Limo existed, if for no other reason, to ensure that when people hear the phrase "Southern California rock band," they didn’t automatically think of the Kottonmouth Kings. We realize that we may have started one of those internet feuds that MTV News seems to report every other week, but really, there are so many great bands playing Los Angeles and Orange County clubs every weekend that are just as deserving (if not more) of being the poster children for the region. We feel it our duty to continue providing a viable alternative to the resurgent kings of neo-Sunset Strip, Emo, and Screamo stylings of rock. If being a part of an internet feud will legitimize this aspiration, it has served its purpose. Besides, we’d like more people to hear our pretty songs about sunsets and late-night drives up PCH.
