    Aye - theres a great documentary on google video called 'American hardcore' and it talks allot aout all the stuff that comes from DC.  It was a really big deal in the 80's.  We're still feeling the ripples from it even now I reckon.  its well worth a watch even if you dont like punk as its pretty inspiring how all these young kids just carved something for themselves out of nothing.

    its cool to hear that theres a good indie scene happening there.  What sort of indie is it?

    Aye - its kind of weird for me in teh US because over here everyone is crammed in so close together theres always a lot of cross over in the scenes. I think its quite healthy for the ol' creativity.

    having said that, the US seems to hone thigs to perfection allot better. For instance - we get 77 punk - the US takes it to its logical conclusion with the whole DC hardcore thing.

    Man! The Porcupine Tree really are something else. I used to have Signify. Its just one of those nearly perfect albums (musically speaking). I dont think they have topped it yet.

    I read those books in hours.it was insane.
    I could taste and feel whatever the character did.God.ahhhhh.
    sorry,i just loved those books.
    And might i say i adored them BEFORE all those stupid teeny boppers did.
    It's stupid how now they read it just because they think robert patterson is hott.
    heh,im not even sure i got the name right.But yes.

    And i should read the harry potter books sometime!!!!=)
