Well. I like to write words and in a future setting I would like to be given monies for this. I think I'm going to change my name to Norm Roberts and write romance novels and, based solely on location and a familiar font, I will become a millionaire in six days.
Music
Starting this process would be an exercise in futility. Let's just say I love electronic music and obnoxious things. I hate accoustic guitars generally. I listen to a lot of goth-pop/rock like Depeche Mode, Cure, INXS and of course love 80's music. I love hip-hop - indie and some commercial. I own five Prince albums, have purchased "Pretty Hate Machine" 4 times, went an entire week listening only to Jay-Z's 'The Black Album' and I've seen Mindless Self Indulgence five times live. I do hate hippies.
Fuck it...let's start the list, but this is far from comprehensive...(deep breath)
NIN, Deadsy, Mindless Self Indulgence, Self, Placebo, Pop Will Eat Itself, Pulp, DJ Shadow, Depeche Mode, Cure, INXS (see above), Patrick Wolf, Aphex Twin, Kanye West, Saul Williams, Jay-Z, El-P, Atmosphere, Mr. Lif, Ima Robot, The Robots Ate Me, Postal Service, Safety Scissors, Gorillaz, Blur, Dan the Automator, Atom and His Package, Nellie Mckay, Public Enemy, Prince, George Michael, 30 Seconds to Mars, AFI, Deftones, Digitata, Tomahawk, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Lovage and Anything Mike Patton Touches, Eyedea, Dizzee Rascal, Lady Sovereign, Sage Francis, Tweaker, Pixies, Electric Six, Bad Plus, Saul Williams, Gary Numan, Skinny Puppy, Squarepusher, Chemical Brothers, KMFDM, Prefuse 73, Beck, Head Automatica, Bjork, The Streets, The Faint, The Rapture, The Weezer, System of a Down, Massive Attack, Del the Funky Homosapien, Peaches, Ladytron, Princess Superstar, David Bowie, Atari Teenage Riot, Refused, Ministry, Bile, Pig, Pigface, Brassy, Busta Rhymes, Cex, Dandy Warhols, Duran Duran, Goldfrapp, She Wants Revenge, Dresden Dolls, Wesley Willis, Tricky, U2, Snoop, Michael Buble, Primus, Jane's Addiction, Prodigy, Outkast, and done.
Movies
I totally blew my load on the music, so I'll just say I like those movin' pictures. Without a doubt, American Psycho is my favorite movie.
Television
The Wire. Nothing else matters. After that Twin Peaks, Nip/Tuck, Arrested Development, Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, Extras. If the shows are still on, don't tell me what happens, because I am always a year behind and don't watch anything until it hits DVD.
Books
I read lots o' pages. Bret Easton Ellis, Jonathan Lethem, Don DeLillo, Neil Gaiman, John Irving, Hunter S. Thompson are probably at the top. I also like Dave Eggers, David Sedaris, Christopher Buckley, Micheal Chabon, Chuck Klosterman, Tom Perrotta, Paul Auster, Glen David Gold, Jeffrey Eugenides, Chip Kidd, Steve Martin and centuries of classics which just seem silly to list.
About me:
There's a lot of things about me. More to come.
I like sandwiches. I read a lot. I think that shoes are the most important thing we wear. I have many brief obsessions that last a limited amount of time and confuse me later. I drink a lot of water and write notes on my hands.
Who I'd like to meet: How about this instead: if I could have a 20 person dinner party, and have anybody- alive or dead- who would be in attendence? Let's go with Hunter S. Thompson, Stephen Hawking, Chuck D, Flava Flav, Sarah Silverman, Nellie McKay, Bret Easton Ellis, Anderson Cooper, Thomas Paine, David Lynch, Robert Smith, Richard D. James, Bjork, Neil Gaiman, Nivek Ogre, and since this is such a sausagefest as they say, just round out the remaining 6 with porn stars.
I also have a lot of friends I wish I could "meet" more frequently.
And there's this kid I run into at various places, with an unsurpassed frequency, who seems pretty cool.

I love it too... so how are you? I haven't been easy to get a hold of lately cuz my phone got broken on saturday night and the way it broke made all my content unretrievable... so I no longer have your number...
I like them enough to not be bored. I'm just hoping Pepper Ent. sees Sioux Falls is willing to support other types of music besides Nu-Metal bands from ten years ago.

Registering at the Dr. Pepper website for my free Chinese Democracy beverage is harder than getting the day-after-GWAR off. Oh well...I like sleep better than Dr. Pepper anyway. See you Monday.
Is it the end of the world or did Chinese Democracy actually get released??? I think I may be dreaming...not sure if it's a good dream or a nightmare yet, though :)
Yeah, we saw it as well. And yes, weird. I thought the movie could have been a lot better. Also, I looks like the cover for The Magic Position has become a minor Fark meme because of its super gayness and lameness.
