Stiff Shots's Interests
General
Movies, music, photography, pro-wrestling, books, fine art.
Music
Get comfortable, this may take a while.
Classic British Invasion bands (Beatles, Stones).
Late 60's/early 70's metal (Cream, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult).
Motown and mid-70's funk (if it's got James Jamerson, Larry Graham, or Bootsy Collins on bass, I'm there!).
Late 70's punk rock/new wave: Ramones! Pistols! Misfits! Black Flag! Devo! Wire! Lydia Lunch!
Lotta weird progressive/underground shit, domestic and European: Gong, Henry Cow, Magma, Goblin, Residents.
Two words: Brian Eno.
Two more words: Percy Jones.
Lollapalooza/"Class of '94" alt-rock: Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Primus, Bjork, Garbage.
Jazz in small doses (but not "smooth jazz/fuzak"). Classical music likewise, but not wild about opera; the singing puts me off.
LOATHE disco, but developing a fondness for techno/house; not really wild about country, either.
Did I leave anything out? Basically, I'll listen to anything once and then make up my mind.
Movies
Again, all over the place, genre-wise. BIG science fiction/horror fan. Love foreign films (WITH subtitles; dubbing is for lazy people!) and indie/art-house stuff. Like comedies that are smart and/or thought-provoking (Monty Python, Kevin Smith). Recently developed a real appreciation of 40's film noir. Hollywood blockbusters are OK in small doses.
Home-grown porno? Not a big fan at all. (Although I REALLY to check out some of Katie Morgan's videos...) On the other hand, I've developed a taste for European/Asian art-porn, e.g. BAISE-MOI.
Generally, if was directed by Quentin Tarantino, John Woo, John Waters, George Romero or David Cronenberg, I've already bought my ticket...
Television
Partial to spy shows: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, LA FEMME NIKITA, ALIAS, 24.
*Really* partial to British comedy: Python, Benny Hill, RED DWARF, YOUNG ONES, BLACKADDER. (Anything involving some combination of Hugh Laurie and/or Stephen Fry is good stuff.) Also greatly enjoying the DOCTOR WHO reboot, as well as TORCHWOOD. Huge fan of the old Supermarianation shows like THUNDERBIRDS, CAPTAIN SCARLET, and UFO.
Speaking of Supermarianation, here's the single greatest opening credits for a TV show. Ever. ..
As a wrestling fan, I have completely given up watching ANY televised wrestling. Wake me when it improves.
Some of the weirder cooking shows (IRON CHEF, classic GALLOPING GOURMET) are good for a giggle or two.
NIP/TUCK has become my favorite nighttime soap opera. Speaking of F/X, counting down the days until THE SHIELD returns...
Thanks to digital cable, I've become addicted to HBO's "Katie On Demand." The Something Weird channel is a lotta fun, too.
Books
I used to be a real sci-fi geek, but I got better. [Insert mad-scientist chortle...] At various points, I've consumed vast quantities of H. P. Lovecraft, Harlan Ellison, William Gibson, Steven King, William Burroughs, Robert Ludlum, Raymond Chandler, Jack O'Connell, and James Ellroy.
Heroes
Brian Eno, Harlan Ellison, Trent Reznor, Richard Avedon, Mark Romanek, George A. Romero, whoever invented LEG SHOW magazine, and several members of the Residents.
I like to photograph beautiful women. Sometimes in a wrestling ring, sometimes not. I love my job ["job," my ass -- expensive hobby is more like it!] and I must say I'm pretty damn good at it. My main site is Stiffshots.com, and I also have a glamour portfolio online at One Model Place which, due to the amount of bare skin on display, should be considered Not Safe For Work.
(Speaking of NSFW, MODEL
BEHAVIOR DVD TWO is now available for your dining and
dancing pleasure [ha!]. It's bigger, bolder, and brassier than the
first one, features lots of the ladies in my Top Friends list (thanks!), and is chock-full of extras you'd normally find only on those
"big" Hollywood releases. Hours of entertainment, literally,
and it can be yours for only fifteen bucks and a little shipping/handling!
Check out either or both of the (heavily censored) online commercials, then

Lessee, what else am I willing to admit to right now? Hmm. Outgoing around friends, but a bit shy and withdrawn around strangers. Good conversationalist, better listener. Bone-dry sense of humor that's often self-deprecating to the point of masochism. Deep thinker. One of those creative types. Prefers cats, but will tolerate dogs.
