we are the Stillhouse Jammers, a five-piece bluegrass band of accomplished musicians from Central New England. Our show consists of a wide variety of music to entertain you that we affectionately refer to as "rural & retro bluegrass"! You will hear traditional fiddle/banjo numbers, hard-driving bluegrass, tender ballads, as well as several original tunes while each of us takes our turn at the mic for lead & harmony vocals. We have had the privilage and honor to play at some really cool places: Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Celebration at the Bill Monroe Homestead in Rosine KY: the Purple Fiddle in WV; Layla's Bluegrass Inn in downtown Nashville TN; and among the venues more close to home are...Boston Bluegrass Union's Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, the Big E(Eastern States Exposition) Fair in W.Springfield, MA; the Weston Playhouse in VT. We are very proud to have placed 2nd in the band competition at the 2006 Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival up against some of the very best talent in the Northeast & Canada!
the Stillhouse Jammers are accepting bookings for 2008 and beyond.... contact Julie at julie@stillhousejammers.com

Hey Stillhouse Jammers Here is a Christmas poem from us to you.
Blue Night Before Christmas
It was the night before Christmas and all through the houses/ They were jammin’ on bluegrass including the mouses/. They jammed on guitar, the fiddle and mando/ They jammed on the bass they jammed on the banjo/
They jammed through the night through the whole Christmas season/ Oh don’t ask me why no one quite knows the reason/
It could be perhaps that the vocals were tight / or maybe the banjo was set up just right/
But I think that the most likely reason of all/ Was the festival season was too short last fall/ So on the ice, the snow and the freezing rain/ They jammed on bluegrass as if sharing one brain/
Their message was simple jamming under star light/ Merry Christmas to all and to all a Blue Night/

HELP PUT THE STANLEY BROTHERS IN THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME!
Ralph Stanley has received many well-deserved honors in the last few years, yet one honor eludes him. While many of their fellow musicians and singers have been recognized by The Country Music Hall of Fame, THE STANLEY BROTHERS have been sadly -- some say criminally -- overlooked.
Jeanie Stanley, youngest daugher of Carter, and fan Kaye Hill have organized an on-going petition to change all that.
"The Country Music Hall of Fame recognizes those persons who have made a significant contribution to the country music field," says Hill. "The Stanley Brothers helped lay the foundation for what we have today. Their names deserve to be listed among greats like Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, who have already be recognized."
You can join their efforts in one of the following ways:
Contact the CMHoF directly:
Mr. Kyle Young, President
Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum
222 Fifth Avenue South
Nashville TN 37203
Or, if you prefer, you can send a letter to Kaye Hill, who will forward them to the HoF.
D. Kaye Hill
PO Box 2553
Harrisonsonburg VA 22801
Kay says, "a simple one-line note is all that would be required, but please remember to supply your name and address, and an email address if applicable. I will be collecting all letters and forwarding them to the Country Music Hall of Fame."
