STILL OF THE NIGHT - CANADA's ULTIMATE WHITESNAKE TRIBUTE brings you the SCREAMING VOCALS of JON MUNROE. The crushing GUITARS of JIM THEOHARIS. The driving BASS rhythms of JOHN MALZER and with the hard pounding DRUMS of NIALL MELLORS will give the ultimate sound of WHITESNAKE!!! Jon Munroe at an early age had been exposed to music by his family learning 3 and 4 part harmonies. School played a major role learning every possible instrument that was available, while still singing. Drums became a major role in Jon's life playing in many bands also doing back-ups. Jon's Influences when learning drums were John Bonham and Niall Peart, and all the top 80's metal and thrash, plus the influences of jazz fusion blues and big band. After high school Jon played drums in a few more bands but then went back to his roots and started singing in many bands doing everything from Journey, Black Sabbath, AC DC, to Van Halen and everything in between. Jon is now the vocalist in the Whitesnake Tribute Still Of The Night debuting at Monsters Of Mock 4 and has worked with many other tribute acts. Jon's many styles of singing from melodic to metal screamer to his fun antics on stage make it a success at any show. Jim Theoharis is one of the best guitarist to hit the Toronto music scene in a long time. Jim is a recording artist for Heavens fire and has recorded many demos with other artists. In the last few years Jim has exploded onto the Tribute band market and is taking it by storm. Jim is very dedicated to his art to try and recreate the exact sound and style of the artist he is portraying. Watching jim as he flies into elaborate solos with such ease is mind blowing to say the least. Jim has played with many bands and musicians including Powerslaves, Yankee Rose, Southern Cross, and currently playing with the Whitesnake Tribute Still of the Night, the Van Halen Tribute 5150 and Heavens Fire. It is a priviledge to share to stage with such a professional in every sense of the word. John Malzer was exposed to many styles OF music growing up such as Classical, Jazz, Blues, Early Rock and Roll, and even Military music. At the age of 12, John was turned on to 2112 by Rush and at that point he became a “rocker”. That year John became a Rush fan and a guitar player. After about a year a drummer friend suggested John switched to Bass. John found there were many opportunities to join bands and decided to hone his skills while playing in a countless number or garage / basement bands. John's first band was called original band called Krypt which formed in the late 70’s that played mostly original music with a few covers in the mix. John then joined the classic rock outfit MAXM which played various clubs and private venues in the GTA. In 1994 John helped create Factor Five which plays country / classic rock at various corporate shows during the summer months. John now also plays with Still of the Night - Canada’s Premier Whitesnake Tribute. John had always been a Whitesnake fan and was intrigued by the idea of recreating that style of hard hitting rock and roll for the masses. John's Malzer's influences of Rush, Black Sabbath, Yes, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin have made John's playing very versatile and his rhythm sound really compliments any band that he performs with. Niall Mellors is a pro drummer that has toured nationally across Canada and has played regularly in the US - home town is Toronto, Canada. Being a very solid drummer Niall's trademark is a live visual show! Niall has recorded on several studio cd's including: Smeer - Loud & Clear - 2002 Smeer - Dischord - 2004 The Rails - This is How She Goes - 2006 Danny Macmaster (lead vocalist of Bonham) -Stone - 2006 7th Reign - Self titled - 2007 Patrizia – My Beloved - 2008 Niall also played in many Tribute bands that include Still Of The Night, Blizzard Of Ozz, Thunderstruck, and Yankee Rose Not only is Niall a great drummer but it is also a pleasure to work with such a professional musician.
