Tony "Uncle Vito" Lewkowski (Guitars, Bass, Harmonica, Vocals)
Influences
State Radio, The Black Keys, RHCP, Johnny Cash
Sounds Like
Some have said Sublime, McCoy Brothers or New Orleans.
A love child between Lynyrd Skynyrd, RHCP, and State Radio.
Not quite sure how'd that work physically, but I'd love to see it.
You tell us.
Many of our currently uploaded songs are incomplete. Apologies for the delay, but with Tony’s wrist injury recording has been a little slow. Stay tuned!
Tony has been playing guitar since the 7th grade. Once he entered high school, he began to write songs. Straying away from the traditional heavy rock/metal/punk sound of most Alaskan bands, ST’s sound incorporates a liberal mix of funk, classic, and southern rock influences.
Still Turnagain is currently working on recording an EP. Still Turnagain is also in the process of finding a new bassist.
All we currently have up are demo recordings done with Garageband and some other equipment - a few are lacking drums & vocals. Expect finished recordings in the coming months.
We’re planning to have a full CD done by fall 2008.
Support local music! Every band you listen to started as a few assholes in a garage who no one had heard of.
You guys are going to need to help me out with the profile shtuff when I finish the first song. Oh, and I'm trying to spread you guys like crazy. Trying to spread Jim Kane music like crazy when there actually is Jim Kane Music?
wellll, actually now it won't play at all. hmmm. i have to figure out what's wrong. i was supposed to download something for it off of a PC but i didn't and tried to download the videos straight to my mac and i thought it still worked cause they played fine on my comp, but, uh, yeah, not anymore on myspace. damn my incompetency with technology!
Hey Still Turnagain...thanks for the ADD! Nice to meet you, I'm Mike. You have some great tunes!! Much respect for you and your accomplishments...nicely done!
i made a song on garageband once. it was called 'maybe the dingo ate my shirt.' violin, mandolin, harmonica and vocals, all recorded. pretty much the best musical composition of my life. ciao ciao
I miss being able to walk around barefoot on grass and sleep outside... I ended up sleeping in that grass that night because the hammock wasn't working out. It's pretty comfy grass:)
I haven't talked to you in awhile, how's it going?
hey, thank you for complimenting the tattoo. I really like it, but I am still getting used to it being there. I agree, the music tattoos are the best. Definitely get the guitar tattooed somewhere. Make sure and send me a picture. I am planning on getting some more work done on it later. We'll see what happens. Take care!
